Hana or SQL? Which database is right for me?

#simpleClarity#also in the ERP database structure

Yesterday we held a workshop on the differences between databases in SAP for an exciting new customer.

I would like to share this with you:🚀

#SAPBusinessOne#HANA vs. #SAPBusinessOne#SQL

An overview of the key differences 🚀

In the world of enterprise resource planning (ERP), SAP offers two impressive solutions with #SAPBusinessOne: one on #HANA and one on #SQL.

Both
versions are aimed at supporting small to medium-sized companies in their
business processes, but in different
technological ways.

✅ Database technology:

SAPBusinessOne HANA uses the in-memory technology
of SAP HANA, which enables extremely fast data processing
and analysis. This version is ideal for companies
that require real-time analysis and complex reporting.

SAPBusinessOne SQL is based on MicrosoftSQLServer, a proven relational database that provides stability and reliability for basic business processes.

✅ Performance:

HANA is known for its high transaction and reporting speed, thanks to its in-memory architecture.

SQL is efficient in typical business environments, but can be slower than HANA for large amounts of data.

✅ Costs:

HANA
may initially be more expensive to purchase, but offers long-term
advantages through fast data processing and lower maintenance costs.

SQL versions are often less expensive and require less hardware investment.

✅ Functionality:

SAPBusinessOne HANA offers a number of additional functions such as advanced analyses and integrated dashboards directly in the ERP solution.

SQL concentrates more on the core functions of ERP, which is sufficient for smaller SMEs.

🔍 Conclusion: The choice between

The choice between #SAPBusinessOne#HANA and #SAPBusinessOne#SQL
depends heavily on the specific needs of your organization.
Weigh up the pros and cons and decide which
platform best suits your infrastructure and business goals
