Planned core processes and business logic
Functional improvements
With the Intercompany Integration Hub, the old, rather complicated B1 IF is to be further developed and significantly simplified.
Until now, integration has generally required a great deal of knowledge and high demands on processes/platforms and technical expertise.
The new Intercompany Integration Hub adds a new and simpler level, a kind of abstraction level, to B1iF 2.0.
This level significantly reduces the technical complexity so that consultants from partners or customers can create ready-made SAP integration scenarios in real time with just a few clicks, even without technical knowledge.
SAP’s customers and partners are now to be offered standard solutions that cover general and basic requirements but are easier to set up.
For the first available versions, the integration of some webshops (e.g. Shopify, Magento and the amazon marketplace), social networks, platforms for SMS and e-mail as well as logistics and service providers is planned. In addition, exchange rate imports (Fixer) and integration of CRM and SAP systems from third-party providers are to be offered.

- New way to integrate SAP Business One into almost any system
- Meets typical requirements for rapid digital integration in companies with multiple legal entities (e.g. sales and service units)
- Planned availability in 2019, gradual introduction planned from Q3
- Simple, new abstraction level in addition to B1iF 2.0
- Some scenarios are only available to customers of the Intercompany integration solution, others are free of charge. A 30-day trial version is planned.
SAP HANA 2.0: Multitenant Database Containers
In comparison with virtualization
SAP HANA 2.0 supports multiple isolated databases in a single SAP HANA system, i.e. multiple tenant databases. Each tenant database has its own users, its own persistence and its own configuration parameters.
Multitenant Database Containers
- Lower total cost of ownership (TCO), single software stack
- Central configuration & administration (database level)
- Direct management of database resources
- Optimized compound (performance benefits)
- Performance advantages (no virtualization effort)
- Licensed via SAP HANA
Virtualization
- Strong insulation
- Option for separate SAP HANA revisions
- Standard composite (SDA)
- Additional virtualization license (e.g. VMWARE)
